What's New in Rotor Rate v1.10: Save Your Own Equipment Presets

Build reusable gear bundles once and add them to any job in a single tap. Plus a small but real fix for the mileage input so one-way vs round-trip is impossible to misread.

Two small improvements this week — both driven by some additional requests since v1.9 shipped.

Save your own equipment presets

Starting today, you can build your own equipment presets (GNSS rover, total station, ground vehicle, and a few more).

Head to Settings → Equipment presets and you can:

  • Add a custom preset with a label of your choice.
  • Pick the pricing mode — flat fee, per hour on site, or percent of your on-site labor.
  • Set an amount and a default quantity.
  • Copy any built-in preset into your list to change its numbers without affecting the shared defaults.

Once saved, presets appear inside Other details → Equipment add-ons on every job (both the bid calculator and the flat-rate evaluator) as one-tap add rows.

The point is repeatability. If every survey day rolls with the same GNSS rover, base station, and set of GCPs, you can create a preset for each once and stop retyping the numbers on every quote.

Clearer round-trip / one-way display

The Drive time and Miles fields on the calculator now show a small colored Round-trip or One-way pill right next to the label, and each field always displays the equivalent distance underneath — so if you're in one-way mode you see "= X mi round-trip" and vice versa. What number you're supposed to type is now impossible to misread.

Everything else works exactly as before. Nothing to do to pick these up — open Settings and give the new preset editor a try.
