What's New in Rotor Rate v1.6: One-Click Estimate Acceptance

Send clients a shareable accept link, they confirm in seconds, and the mission flips to awarded automatically — plus a new business-playbook teaser on the free calculator.

Released: June 22, 2026 · Version 1.6

The most awkward stretch of any drone job is the silence between "I sent the quote" and "we're on the calendar." The client thinks about it, replies whenever, you manually mark the job as won, and you try to remember to send a confirmation email. v1.6 turns all of that into a single link your client can tap.

The big one: one-click estimate acceptance

Every saved job — and every quote you build with our Quote Wizard — can now generate a private acceptance link. Paste the link into your quote email and your client just taps it, types their name and email, and confirms. From there, Rotor Rate takes over:

  • The job moves from "pending" to "won" automatically.
  • Your client gets a clean confirmation email.
  • You get a "you got the job" email so you know it's official.
  • Each link works for 60 days, then quietly expires.

No more checking in to see if they made up their mind. No more updating job statuses by hand.

How to use it

  1. Save a job from the calculator, or build one in the Quote Wizard.
  2. From your Saved Jobs list, tap Generate accept link.
  3. Drop the link into your quote email.
  4. When your client confirms, you'll be notified right away.

This is a paid-plan feature. Free users can still build and send quotes the same way as before.

Quote Wizard does the work for you

The public Quote Wizard now creates the acceptance link in the same step for paid users — no extra "save the job first" detour. Behind the scenes it tucks the quote away as a pending job, so you can find it later in your Saved Jobs list.

A nudge toward the business side

If you've been pricing jobs on the free calculator and wondering, "Okay, but how do I actually run this as a business?" — there's now a small link on the calculator page pointing to our Run Your Drone Business playbook. Four short chapters covering Start, Plan, Decide, and Operate. Free, no signup.

What didn't change

  • Pricing math, fees, and the 2026 IRS mileage rate ($0.725 per mile) are all the same.
  • The Workspace and Mission Dashboard split from v1.5 still works the same way.
  • Quotes you've already sent the old way still work fine.

What's next

A few smaller acceptance-flow improvements are queued up for the next release:

  • A way to refresh or revoke an acceptance link from your Saved Jobs.
  • A friendly "ask for a fresh link" path when a 60-day link rolls over.
  • A way for visitors who use the Quote Wizard without an account to claim their quote later, after signing up.

Where to find this

  • Changelog page: rotorrate.com/changelog — full release notes for every version.
  • User Guide: the "What's new" link still jumps straight to the changelog.

If anything about the new acceptance flow feels off — the wording, the timing, or the email your client receives — hit the feedback button. We read every note.
