Frequently asked questions

How does the drone photography pricing calculator work?
Plug in the shoot type (real estate, commercial, event, brand), the deliverables (number of finished stills, optional video), turnaround, drive distance, equipment tier, and your target margin. The calculator returns a defensible flat-rate quote and your real take-home after editing time and overhead.
Does the calculator account for editing time?
Yes. Per-deliverable editing time is part of the formula — 10 raw photos vs. 20 edited, color-graded stills is a 2–3x difference in your time, and the quote reflects that.
What about same-day delivery and rush jobs?
Add a rush surcharge as turnaround tightens. Same-day or 24-hour delivery should be priced as a premium, not absorbed.
Can I price licensing and usage rights with it?
Yes — usage rights are a separate input. An MLS listing is not the same as a national paid-social campaign, and the quote will reflect the difference.
